Tile from Katie’s 2021 solo show in Paisley. Using ready made domestic items and the limited range of facilities in domestic settings, the tile has permanent marker on, which was set by kitchen oven. As she didn’t have access to the appropriate settings to use oils, she applied the tile with permanent marker and quickly blended it with finger.

Please note,as the work was made to reflect making in the times of lock-down the work has not been set in kiln and therefore may smudge if really really pushed. They are solid but please be gentle with them <3
